• Repair and maintain our roads for safer travel and better connections between communities.
• Upgrade and expand clean water systems to ensure every household has access to safe, reliable drinking water.
• Expand broadband internet access so that every family, student, and business in Southeast Oklahoma is connected to the opportunities of the modern world.

Jerry believes that investing in these essential services will not only improve our quality of life but also stimulate economic growth and job creation in our region.

Protecting Patient Rights and Expanding Rural Healthcare

Jerry Donathan understands that healthcare decisions should be made by patients and their doctors, not politicians. That’s why he’s committed to keeping the government out of the exam room and ensuring everyone in Southeast Oklahoma has access to quality healthcare. Jerry’s healthcare plan includes:

• Rural Healthcare Grants: Part of the Rural Infrastructure and Healthcare Grants initiative, these grants will directly support rural healthcare facilities, helping them expand services, improve patient care, and recruit medical professionals.
• Telehealth Expansion: Jerry will ensure that investments in broadband infrastructure also support the expansion of telehealth services, making it easier for residents in remote areas to receive the care they need without long and costly trips to distant hospitals.

By focusing on these priorities, Jerry aims to improve access to healthcare for everyone in Southeast Oklahoma.

• Reversing Private School Tax Credits: Jerry will introduce legislation to reverse the $250 million in tax credits given to private school parents. These funds will be redirected to support public schools and vocational programs in towns like McAlester, Wilburton, and Sallisaw, providing students with the skills they need to succeed in today’s economy.
• Vocational Training Investment: Jerry is committed to ensuring that vocational programs, such as those for truck driving and manufacturing, receive the funding they need to prepare our students for good-paying jobs right here in Southeast Oklahoma.

Jerry’s approach to education is about making sure our schools and training programs are equipped to offer every student the opportunity to succeed.

Supporting Workers, Farmers, and Local Businesses

• Livable Wage and Worker Safety: Jerry is committed to fighting for a livable wage for all workers in Southeast Oklahoma, ensuring that everyone who works hard can support their family. He will also push for increased safety and support for Department of Corrections employees, who play a critical role in our communities.
• Right to Repair Legislation: Jerry will introduce a Right to Repair law, empowering farmers and other workers to repair their own equipment. This legislation will reduce costs, minimize downtime, and support local agriculture and businesses.
• Economic Development: Jerry will prioritize funding for local economic development initiatives, including manufacturing job academies and rural development projects.
